This week, Ayaan Hirsi Ali is interviewed by the LA Times to discuss women's rights in Islam, and Beyonce's Malaysian concert is postponed.

In an interview with Los Angeles Times titled, "Feminism's freedom fighter," Ayaan Hirsi Ali explains her views on not drawing a distinction between radical Islam and mainstream Islam, and responds to Muslim critics who allege she conflates religion with culture.

Beyonce postpones her October 25th concert in Malaysia for a second time. Although a statement from her management has yet to be released, Malaysia has strict decency laws which requires musicians to be covered from shoulder to knees. The Pussycat Dolls were fined for violating the law in 2006 in Kuala Lumpur.
