Dr. Rukhsana Chaudhry

Dr. Chaudhry is passionate about community health and has a special interest in gender-based violence, psychology & human rights, and empowerment, especially pertaining to refugee/immigrant populations and survivors of trauma. She currently serves as the Chair of Mental Health Education for the American Muslim Health Professionals working in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to develop national mental health education initiatives within Muslim communities.


Nadiah Mohajir

Nadiah is the Co-Founder & Executive Director for HEART Women & Girls. For the last five years, she has led the organization to provide health education programming to Muslim women and girls in the Chicagoland area as well as Southern California, New Jersey, Boston and Michigan, breaking many cultural barriers and raising awareness about important issues such as sexual and reproductive health, sexual violence and media literacy.


Na’ aila Moumaris Clay

Naa’ila is a North Carolina native. Naa’ila Moumaris-Clay is a North Carolina native that has worked in the mental health, counseling and personal development field for 18 years as an Executive Director of a free health clinic, working with formerly incarcerated women, adoptive parents, married couples and counseling dually-diagnosed individuals. She has served on several Board of Directors for nonprofit and civic organizations and is a Goodmon Fellow and graduate of the Leadership Triangle. She believes, that with intrinsic motivation, people have the innate capacity to modify their lives. She is a wife, mother of three, writer and published author.
